Surya Kumar Bhagvandas, known by the screen name Surya, is a popular actor associated with Telugu cinema. He has primarily portrayed characters in supporting roles.

Surya pursued his education and completed a Bachelor of Arts in English literature and a Bachelor of Education. He joined the second batch of students from Madhu Film Acting School (1984) and was awarded the gold medal for being the most outstanding student.
