B. Jayashree is a veteran Indian actress, director, and singer who has also acted in films and television. She has won the Golden Horn Award for Best Actress in a Feature Film and the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for Theatre - Acting (Language Theatre-wise) - Kannada. She has also worked as a dubbing artist in films. 
Jayashree has appeared in 55 films, including Koreshi Kanasu (1994), Nagamandala (1997), Care of Footpath (2006), Ee Preethi Yeke Bhoomi Melide (2007), Ishtakamya (2016), Maasthi Gudi (2017), Hasiru Ribbon (2018), Gvana Yajna (2018), Chitrakatha (2019), and Mookajjiya Kanasugalu (2019). 

After having worked in the theater industry with notable personalities like B.V. Karanth, she made her debut on the silver screen with Koreshi Kanasu (1994). A few of her other notable films as an actress includes Nagamandala (1997), Care of Footpath (2006), Ee Preethi Yeke Bhoomi Melide (2007), Ishtakamya (2016) and Maasthi Gudi (2017) directed by Nagashekar. In 2018, she appeared alongside Girija Lokesh and Supriya in HS Venkateshmurthy`s Kannada drama Hasiru Ribbon and Gvana Yajna. Her 2019 releases includes Chitrakatha and Mookajjiya Kanasugalu.

Jayashree is also the creative director of Spandana Theatre, an amateur theater company based in Bangalore, established in 1976. She has songs including "Yaaru Yaaru" and "Banda Nodamma".
