Biography

Ali Fazal is an Indian actor who primarily works in Hindi and English films and series. He made his screen debut with a small role in the English film "The Other End of the Line" (2008) before appearing in the American television miniseries "Bollywood Hero" (2009) ¹. Born on October 15, 1986, in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India, Fazal grew up in a family with a passion for acting. 

He attended La Martiniere College in Lucknow and later moved to The Doon School in Dehradun, where he discovered his love for acting while playing the role of Trinculo in William Shakespeare's "The Tempest".

After moving to Mumbai, he graduated in economics from St. Xavier's College. His Bollywood debut came with Rajkumar Hirani's "3 Idiots" (2009), where he played the role of an engineering student named Joy Lobo. 

The film received critical acclaim and became the highest-grossing Bollywood film at the time ¹. Since then, Fazal has appeared in various successful films, including "Fukrey," "Happy Bhag Jayegi," and "Victoria & Abdul." He has also starred in the Amazon Prime Video series "Mirzapur" and Hollywood films like "Death on the Nile" and "Kandahar".
