Nagendran’s Honeymoons,” directed by Nithin Renji Panicker, is a dark comedy series set in the late 1970s in Vellayani, Thiruvananthapuram. The story follows Nagendran (Suraj Venjaramoodu), a freeloader living off his elderly, ailing mother. Envious of his friend Paulose’s success in Kuwait, Nagendran dreams of a better life abroad.

To finance his journey, Nagendran, along with his friend Soman (Prashanth Alexander), devises a scheme to marry multiple women under false pretenses to collect dowries3. The series humorously explores the lengths Nagendran goes to secure a better life, only to find himself entangled in a web of deceit and guilt. Each episode showcases Nagendran’s various schemes and the complications that arise as he tries to avoid getting caught.
