Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh is an upcoming Hindi-language historical courtroom drama, directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and produced by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape of Good Films. The film is set to release on April 18, 2025, marking the 106th anniversary of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.  

The movie is based on the book The Case That Shook The Empire by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat, which explores the legal battle fought by C. Sankaran Nair against the British Empire following the Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919. Akshay Kumar plays the role of C. Sankaran Nair, while R. Madhavan portrays Neville McKinley, the opposing counsel. Ananya Panday plays Dilreet Gill, a journalist aiding Nair’s fight for justice.  

The film delves into the courtroom drama surrounding the massacre, highlighting Nair’s determination to expose British atrocities. With powerful dialogues, intense performances, and a gripping narrative, Kesari Chapter 2 aims to shed light on a lesser-known chapter of India’s freedom struggle.
