Biography

Vishak Nair, born on April 25, 1992, in Cochin, Kerala, is an Indian actor known for his work in the Malayalam film industry. He made his acting debut in the 2016 coming-of-age drama Aanandam, which received critical acclaim and made him a household name in Kerala12. Vishak’s performance as Kuppi in Aanandam was particularly praised for its authenticity and charm.

He has since appeared in several notable Malayalam films, including Puthan Panam (2017), Chunkzz (2017), Matchbox (2017), and Hridayam (2022)12. In 2022, Vishak made his Bollywood debut with the sports biopic Shabaash Mithu, where he played a supporting role alongside Taapsee Pannu1. He is also set to appear in the highly anticipated film Emergency, directed by Kangana Ranaut, where he will portray Sanjay Gandhi.

Vishak’s journey into acting began during his school days in Sharjah, where he developed a keen interest in filmmaking and started making short films. He pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), where he was introduced to theatre and continued to hone his skills in acting and directing1. After graduation, he worked briefly in the corporate sector before fully committing to his passion for the arts.
