Biography
Anuradha, who uses the stage name Tara, is an Indian actress and member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) who is known for her work in Kannada cinema and politics. She was born on March 4, 1971.
Tara made her Tamil film debut in Ingeyum Oru Gangai in 1984, and her Kannada debut in Guri in 1986. Her other films include Thulasidala (1985), Mikhaelinte Santhathikal (1993), Parva (2002), and Raja Rani (2021). She has won several awards, including the Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Kannada for Kanooru Heggadithi in 2000, the National Film Award for Best Actress for Hasina in 2005, and the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress – Kannada for Ee Bandhana in 2008.
Tara has been married to H.C. Venu since 2005, and they have two children, Shree Krishna, Raja Rani, and Kanooru Heggadithi. She is currently a nominated member of the Karnataka Legislative Council.
