Biography

Steven Hartley is a British actor known for his work in television, film, and theatre. Born on August 12, 1960, in Shipley, West Yorkshire, England, he trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) and has been active in the entertainment industry since 1985.  

Hartley has appeared in numerous British TV shows, including The Bill, EastEnders, Silent Witness, Holby City, and Call the Midwife. His performances in crime dramas and thrillers have earned him recognition as a versatile actor. He has also starred in international productions, including Shadow and Bone and Alexander: The Making of a God.  

Beyond television, Hartley has an extensive film career, featuring in movies like Kesari Chapter 2, Allies, Split Second, and Christopher Columbus: The Discovery. His theatre work includes playing Bill Sikes in Oliver! and leading roles in Dirty Dancing and Fit and Proper People.  

Hartley is also a voice actor, lending his voice to video games such as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, and Dark Souls III. His deep, commanding voice has made him a sought-after talent in the gaming industry.
