Soubin Shahir is an Indian actor, director, and writer who works in Malayalam cinema. He was born on October 12, 1983 in Cochin, Kerala. He has won awards including the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor in 2019 for Njan Marykutty and the Asianet Film Award for Honour Special Jury in 2020 for Captain. 

Shahir began his career as an assistant director in 2003, working under directors such as Fazil, Rajeev Ravi, Siddique, and Amal Neerad. He made his acting debut in 2013 with a supporting role in Annayum Rasoolum and his directorial debut with the drama Parava. He has also acted in Manjummel Boys, Ozhuki Ozhuki Ozhuki, Nadikar, Vellaripattanam, and Ayalvaashi. 

Shahir has been married to Jamia Zaheer since 2017. He has 2.4 million followers on Instagram.
