Siddharth Bharathan is a prominent figure in the Malayalam film industry, known for his multifaceted roles as an actor, director, and screenwriter. Born on May 26, 1983, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, he is the son of legendary filmmaker Bharathan and acclaimed actress K.P.A.C. Lalitha. Siddharth made his acting debut in the film Nammal (2002), which earned him recognition and the Kerala Film Critics Association Award for Best Debut Actor.
In 2012, Siddharth ventured into directing with the film Nidra, a remake of his father's 1981 classic. His directorial works, including Chandrettan Evideya (2015), Varnyathil Aashanka (2017), and Chathuram (2022), have been praised for their unique storytelling and artistic vision.
