Poonam Dhillon is an Indian actress and politician who has appeared in over 60 films, including Noorie (1979), Red Rose, Dard, Sohni Mahiwal, and Maalamaal. She has also sung songs such as "Chori Chori", "Oh Kanha", and "Aai Jawani Mori Chunariya". 

Dhillon was born on April 18, 1962 in Kanpur, India. She was crowned Miss India in 1977, which led to modeling opportunities. She started her film career at age 16 in Yash Chopra's Trishul. She has also appeared in nine TV shows, including Kittie Party, Ekk Nayi Pehchaan, and Dil Bekaraar. 

Dhillon has appeared in six films with Rajesh Khanna, including Dard, Nishaan, Awam, Zamana, and Redrose. Redrose was well received by critics but was a box office flop. 
Dhillon has two children, Paloma and Anmol, and was previously married to Ashok Thakeria until 1997.
