Biography
Parineeti Chopra is an Indian actress and singer who was born on October 22, 1988 in Ambala, Haryana. She has a triple honors degree in business, finance, and economics from Manchester Business School. Before becoming an actress, Chopra worked as a public relations consultant for Yash Raj Films. She made her Bollywood debut in 2011 with a supporting role in Ladies vs Ricky Bahl. Other films she has starred in include Ishaqzaade (2012), Shuddh Desi Romance (2013), Hasee Toh Phasee (2014), Kill Dil (2014), The Girl on the Train (2021), Code Name: Tiranga (2022), and Uunchai (2022).
Chopra has also endorsed brands like Coke and PepsiCo, becoming the first Hindi film actress to do so. She has also received a National Film Award – Special Mention.
Chopra is also involved in humanitarian work. She supports organizations such as the Shabana Azmi Mijwan Welfare Society, which works to improve the lives of girls. She also appeared on NDTV's Greenathon, a campaign that promotes environmental responsibility and looks into the inadequate power supply in rural areas. In 2015, the state government of Haryana named Chopra as the brand ambassador for the "Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao" initiative to advance the rights of girls.
