Biography
M. Nassar, born Muhammad Hanif on March 5, 1958, is a versatile Indian actor, director, producer, dubbing artist, singer, and politician. His career spans across the Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam film industries, and he has also worked in a few Kannada, English, Hindi, and Bengali films. Nassar made his acting debut in K. Balachander’s “Kalyana Agathigal” (1985) and went on to play pivotal roles in Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan’s ventures, including “Roja” (1992), “Thevar Magan” (1992), “Bombay” (1995), and “Iruvar” (1997). He also directed films like “Avatharam” (1995) and “Devathai” (1997). Nassar currently serves as the president of the Nadigar Sangam (South Indian Artistes’ Association). At 66 years old, he continues to contribute significantly to the entertainment industry and remains an influential figure in Indian cinema
