Merin Philip, also known as Merin Mary Philip, is a versatile South Indian actress, theatre artist, and model from Kerala, who primarily works in the Malayalam film industry. Born in Kollam, Kerala, Merin's parents are Philip C Mathew and Daisy Philip. She attended Sunrise English Private School in Abu Dhabi and St. John’s School in Kollam, Anchal. Merin pursued her undergraduate studies at Gregorian College of Advanced Studies, Thiruvananthapuram, and completed her post-graduation in Journalism from the Press Club, Thiruvananthapuram.

Her acting journey began at the young age of 14 with theatre, starring in notable Malayalam dramas such as Mannu, Shabdhavum Velichavum, Njayarazhcha, and Nagamandala. Merin made her film debut in 2018 with the Malayalam film Poomaram, and later played her first leading role in Happy Sardar. Looking forward, Merin is set to appear in several upcoming films, including Rahel Makan Kora (2023), Eeyal (2023), and Anjakkallakokkan (2024).
