1. Mansoor Ali Khan was born on February 22, 1961, in Oddanchatram, Dindigul, Tamil Nadu, India. His parents are Meesaikaara Abdul Salam Rowther and Sagorammal

2. He has predominantly appeared in Tamil films, often in antagonistic and supporting roles. His breakthrough role came as an antagonist in the film “Captain Prabhakaran” (1991), which opened up many acting opportunities for him

3. Mansoor Ali Khan has acted in over 250 films and has also produced and directed numerous films. Besides Tamil cinema, he has worked in Malayalam, Kannada, and Telugu films

4. In addition to his film career, he has dabbled in politics. He supported the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) early in his career. He contested elections as an independent candidate and later as a member of the Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK)

2021: Ran in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election from Thondamuthur as an independent candidate.

6. Controversies: In July 1998, he was arrested for causing a roadblock while protesting against pirate showings of his film “Vettu Onnu Thundu Rendu” on cable television.
