Biography
Malavika Avinash is a distinguished Indian actress, television personality, and politician, celebrated for her extensive work in Kannada and Tamil cinema. Born on January 28, 1976, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, she was introduced to classical arts at a young age, training in Bharatanatyam under Padmashree Leela Samson and learning the sitar from Pandit Partho Das.
Her acting career began as a child artist in Malayalam films, and she later gained widespread recognition for her role in the Kannada television series Mayamruga.
Malavika’s versatility is evident from her performances in various languages, including Kannada, Tamil, and Malayalam, with notable films like Gruha Banga, Kaithi, and the blockbuster K.G.F: Chapter 2. Besides acting, she is a well-known television host, having presented the show Baduku Jataka Bandi on Zee Kannada.
In 2013, she joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and currently serves as the State spokesperson for the BJP in Karnataka.
