Biography

Malashri is an Indian actress who has appeared in over 70 films, primarily in Kannada cinema, and has also appeared in Tamil and Telugu films. She was born on August 10, 1973 and started her career as a child actress in the 1979 Tamil film Imayam. She is known for her roles in Sahasa Veerudu Sagara Kanya (1996), Chamundi (2000), and Durgi (2004). She has also won awards including the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Actress in 2015. 

Malashri was married to Ramu until 2021 and has two children, Ananya and Aryan. She is known for her ethereal beauty and was given the nickname "Kanasina Rani" (dream girl) in the 1980s.

Malashri, a Kannada actress, has a background in child acting, appearing in 35 films in Tamil and Telugu, 26 of which she played as a boy. Her early films, like Imayam and Neela Malargal from 1979, featured her as a boy because she was a fan of actor Amitabh Bachchan and would dress up like him. She has won several awards, including the Kannada State Film Award for Best Actress in 2015 and the NTR Award in 2011.
