Madhoo Shah, born as Padma Malini on March 26, 1969, is an Indian actress known for her versatile work across Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada language films. She made her Hindi film debut in 1991 with Phool Aur Kaante, starring opposite Ajay Devgn. However, it was her role in Mani Ratnam’s Roja (1992) that catapulted her to fame. In this Tamil film, she portrayed the titular character, Roja, and received acclaim for her performance. Madhoo has also worked with Mammooty in the Malayalam film Azhagan. Besides her film career, she has hosted the DD National music television series Rangoli since August 2019. Madhoo is the niece of legendary actress Hema Malini and shares a close bond with the Deol family. She married Anand Shah in 1999, and they have two daughters, Amaya and Keia.
