Biography
Lakshmi Manchu, also known as Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna, is an Indian actress, producer, and television presenter. She was born on October 8, 1977 in Chennai, to actor Mohan Babu and Vidya Devi. She has two brothers, Manoj and Vishnu. She has been in 20 feature films in India, including Monster, Gundello Godari, and Kaatrin Mozhi, and has appeared in some minor television roles in the U.S., such as Boston Legal and Desperate Housewives. She has won several awards, including the 2013 Gundello Godari award, the 2014 Chandamama Kathalu award, and the South Indian International Movie Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role for Anaganaga O Dheerudu.
Manchu started her career at the age of 4, appearing in English films such as The Ode (2008) and Dead Air (2009). She co-owns Sree Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures with her family members, which has produced 56 feature films to date.
