Johnny Lever
Biography
Johnny Lever, whose full name is John Prakasa Rao Janumala, is an Indian actor and comedian who has appeared in over 60 Hindi films. He is known for his work in comedy and has been nominated for 13 Filmfare Awards, winning twice for his roles in Deewana Mastana (1997) and Dulhe Raja (1998).
Lever was born on August 14, 1957 in Prakasam, Andhra Pradesh. He is the eldest of five children and has been married to Sujatha Lever since 1984, with two children, Jamie and Jesse. Lever got his break in 1980 with the film Tum Par Hum Qurban, which was written, directed, and produced by Tabassum. Some of his other films include Baazigar (1993), Judaai (1997), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Joru Ka Ghulam (2000), and Golmaal 3 (2010).
Lever has said that he doesn't get much work anymore because there are fewer comedy films being made, and lead actors have started to feel threatened by his presence in the films.
