Biography

Selvaraghavan, born on March 5, 1977, is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and actor. He has primarily directed and acted in Tamil films. His directorial debut was with Thulluvadho Ilamai (2002), although his father, Kasthuri Raja, is credited for business reasons. 

Selvaraghavan gained critical acclaim for his romantic dramas like Kadhal Kondein (2003) and 7G Rainbow Colony (2004), both of which starred his brother, Dhanush. He also explored coming-of-age themes in films like Pudhupettai (2006) and Mayakkam Enna (2011).

Beyond romance, he delved into science fiction and fantasy with movies like Aayirathil Oruvan (2010) and Irandam Ulagam (2013). In 2022, he made his acting debut in the film Beast. Selvaraghavan’s personal life includes two marriages: first with actress Sonia Agarwal (2006–2010) and later with Gitanjali Raman (since 2011). He has three children: Leelavathi, Omkar, and Rishikesh.
