Dhanush, whose real name is Venkatesh Prabhu Kasthuri Raja, is an Indian actor, director, producer, writer, lyricist, and playback singer. He is primarily known for working in Tamil cinema, but has also appeared in some Telugu, Hindi, English, and Malayalam films.

Dhanush has also directed several films, including the 2017 Tamil drama Power Pandi and the 2018 TV series Avalum naanum.
