Biography
Daggubati Venkatesh, affectionately known as Victory Venkatesh, is a prominent actor and film producer in Telugu cinema. Born on December 13, 1960, in Madras (now Chennai), he hails from a renowned Telugu family. His father, D. Ramanaidu, was a distinguished film producer.
Venkatesh made his acting debut in 1986 with the film Kaliyuga Pandavulu, which was a commercial success. Over his illustrious career spanning more than 37 years, he has delivered numerous hits, such as Srinivasa Kalyanam (1987), Bobbili Raja (1990), Kshana Kshanam (1991), Coolie No. 1 (1991), Surya IPS (1991), Gharshana (2004), Aadavari Matalaku Arthale Verule (2007), Bodyguard (2012), and Drushyam (2014).
Venkatesh's versatility as an actor has earned him several prestigious awards, including six Filmfare Awards and five Nandi Awards. He has portrayed a wide array of characters, ranging from romantic leads to action heroes and character roles.
Apart from acting, Venkatesh co-owns Suresh Productions, one of India's largest film production companies, along with his brother D. Suresh Babu. He also mentors the Telugu Warriors in the Celebrity Cricket League.
