Basil Joseph is an Indian actor, director, screenwriter, and musician who works in the Malayalam film industry.
He was born on April 28, 1990 in Wayanad, Kerala.
He attended St. Joseph's English Higher Secondary School in Sultan Bathery and SKMJ Higher Secondary School in Kalpetta, Wayanad.
He then earned a B. Tech degree from the College of Engineering in Trivandrum and worked at Infosys before starting his film career.
Joseph began his film career as an assistant director on Vineeth Sreenivasan's 2013 film Thira and made his directorial debut in 2015 with Kunjiramayanam.
He has also acted in films such as Up & Down: Mukalil Oralundu, Homely Meals, and Kunjiramayanam.
He is best known for his films Godha and Minnal Murali and is also known for his roles in Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey, Palthu Janwar, and Dear Friend.
Joseph married his long-time girlfriend Elizabeth Samuel in 2017.
