Alia Bhatt
Biography
Alia Bhatt is a British actress of Indian descent who works primarily in Hindi films. She was born in Mumbai on March 15, 1993 to actress Soni Razdan and filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt. Bhatt has won six Filmfare Awards, one National Award, and three IIFA Awards, and has appeared in Forbes India's Celebrity 100 list since 2014.
Bhatt debuted as a child artist in the 1999 thriller Sangharsh. Her first leading role was in Karan Johar's 2012 romantic-comedy-drama Student of the Year, which earned her a Filmfare award nomination for Best Debut Female. She has won Filmfare Awards for Best Actress for her roles as a victim of drug abuse in Udta Punjab (2016), an undercover spy in Raazi (2018), a possessive girlfriend in Gully Boy (2019), and the titular prostitute in Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022).
Bhatt is also an environmentalist who led an ecological initiative called CoExist in 2017 to raise awareness about the welfare of street animals.
Bhatt married Ranbir Kapoor on April 14, 2022, and they have a daughter named Raha, born on November 6, 2022.
