Aditya Roy Kapur is an Indian actor who works in Hindi films. He was born on November 16, 1985 in Mumbai to a Punjabi Hindu father and a Jewish mother. 

Before becoming an actor, Kapur worked as a VJ (Video Jockey) on Channel V India, starred in the show Pakao, and hosted the show India's Hottest with VJ Bruna Abdullah. He made his Bollywood debut in 2009 with the musical drama London Dreams and became famous in 2013 for his role in the romance Aashiqui 2.
