Abhishek Kapoor is an Indian film director, writer, actor, and producer. He was born on August 6, 1971 and is known for his work in Hindi cinema. Kapoor started his career as an actor in the 1996 movie *Uff! Yeh Mohabbat* and later became a director with the release of Aryan in 2006. He is known for directing the successful Bollywood films Kai Po Che (2013), Rock On!! (2008), Fitoor (2016), Kedarnath (2018), and Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui (2021). He has been nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Director for Rock On!! and Kai Po Che!.

Kapoor is also known for his roles in the web series Not Dating (2020), Poles Apart (2021), Engineering Girls (2018), Dating College Junior, Ashwin (2021), RVCJ - Mr Doctor & Miss Engineer (2022–2023), College Canteen, The Great Indian Stud (Short) (2022), and Tuition Ke Baad. 

Kapoor is the founder of the production company Guy in the Sky Pictures and is married to actress Pragya Yadav. He is the nephew of superstar Jeetendra, cousin of Tusshar and Ekta Kapoor, and has a sister named Aparna Kapoor.
