Nagar studied economics at the University of Bath in the UK and worked part-time during her three years there. After completing her studies, she had secured what she described as her dream job in Zurich. However, her interest in Neem Karoli Baba eventually prompted her to reconsider her career plans.

Nagar said she expects her eventual profit share could be around ₹50 crore. However, she clarified that this is an estimate and that the makers had yet to monetise the film through its OTT, satellite and music rights.
