Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy S26 FE in India, expanding its flagship Galaxy S26 family with a smartphone focused on camera capabilities, artificial intelligence and performance. The new Fan Edition model is the first device in the Galaxy S26 lineup to launch with One UI 9, bringing Samsung’s latest software and Galaxy AI experiences to users.
Priced at ₹79,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, the Galaxy S26 FE is available in Pistachio, Blueberry and Graphite colour options. Samsung is also offering launch benefits, including an upgrade bonus of up to ₹8,000, select no-cost EMI options and bank cashback offers.
Flagship-inspired Camera Setup
One of the biggest highlights of the Galaxy S26 FE is its triple rear camera system. The phone features a 50MP wide camera with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide camera and an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS. A 12MP front camera handles selfies and video calls.
Samsung has also introduced camera-focused AI features designed to simplify photography and video creation. My FanCam can automatically keep a selected person centred in the frame, while Super Steady with Horizontal Lock is designed to provide smoother and more level videos.
The phone also includes Samsung’s Nightography capabilities and Photo Assist, allowing users to refine images using natural-language prompts.
Galaxy AI and One UI 9
The Galaxy S26 FE runs Android 17 with One UI 9, bringing a range of context-aware Galaxy AI features. The updated Now Brief provides personalised information through briefing cards, weather updates and other contextual suggestions.
Samsung has also enhanced Circle to Search with Google, allowing users to search for multiple items simultaneously. Gemini Omni can help users create and edit video content using photos and videos stored in the Gallery. Eligible buyers also receive a six-month Google AI Pro trial with expanded AI capabilities and 5TB of cloud storage.
Performance and Battery
The smartphone is powered by the Exynos 2500 processor, built using a 3nm process. It features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,900 nits of brightness.
A 4,900mAh battery powers the device, with support for 45W wired charging. Samsung says the phone can reach up to 69% charge in around 30 minutes using a compatible 45W adapter. The device also carries an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
Long-Term Software Support
Samsung is promising up to seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates from the global launch date. This makes the Galaxy S26 FE a long-term option for consumers looking for a phone with extended software support.
