The Simple Wave electric scooter has entered the Indian market as Simple Energy’s new family-focused electric scooter. The Bengaluru-based EV manufacturer launched the Wave in September 2026, with an introductory starting price of ₹1,09,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru). Customer deliveries were scheduled to begin from September 25, 2026, putting the scooter directly into the competitive family EV segment.
Unlike Simple Energy’s performance-oriented One range, the Wave has been designed around everyday family commuting, comfort and practicality. Its combination of multiple battery options, long claimed range and large storage capacity is aimed at urban riders looking for a practical electric scooter.
Simple Wave Price and Range
The Simple Wave is available with multiple battery configurations. The Wave S gets 2.2kWh and 2.7kWh battery options, offering claimed IDC ranges of 110 km and 132 km, respectively. The standard Wave comes with a 3.7kWh battery and a claimed range of 171 km, while the top-end Wave+ gets a 5kWh battery with a claimed 243 km IDC range.
Simple has announced the ₹1,09,999 introductory price for the base version, while prices for higher configurations can vary and should be checked with the company or dealer.
70-Litre Storage and Family-Friendly Design
One of the biggest highlights of the Simple Wave is its 70-litre total storage capacity. This includes a 63-litre under-seat compartment, along with additional storage spaces at the front and beside the seat. The scooter also gets a long 920mm seat, a flat floorboard and a family-oriented design.
The Wave uses a 6.4kW motor and offers different riding modes depending on the variant. Higher versions can reach a claimed top speed of 90 kmph, while the entry-level Wave S is rated at 75 kmph.
Simple Wave Features
Depending on the variant, the electric scooter can be equipped with a 7-inch TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, GPS tracking, call and music controls and OTA software updates. Higher variants also offer features such as traction control, regenerative braking, hill-hold assist, reverse mode and crawl mode.
Charging is supported through a portable charger, with Simple claiming that the top-end Wave+ can charge from 0 to 80% in around 2 hours and 15 minutes using fast charging.
Simple Wave Deliveries
With deliveries beginning from September 25, 2026, the Simple Wave expands the company’s product portfolio into the family electric scooter segment. Its long claimed range, large storage capacity and multiple battery options are among the key specifications buyers may consider while comparing it with other electric scooters in India.
