The Lava Virat Curve 5G is going on sale in India today, September 28, bringing Lava’s latest curved-display smartphone to consumers through Flipkart. The handset was launched earlier this month and stands out with a 3D curved AMOLED display, 6,000mAh battery and a secondary mini screen on the rear. The first sale is scheduled to begin at 7 PM IST.
Lava Virat Curve 5G Price in India
The Lava Virat Curve 5G is available in a single 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. Its listed price is ₹23,999, while the introductory offer brings the effective price down to ₹19,999 with applicable bank offers. The smartphone will be sold through Flipkart.
The phone comes in Heritage Indigo, Makrana Ivory and Ellora Slate colour options.
Display and Design
One of the main highlights is its 6.67-inch FHD+ 3D curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 1,100 nits. The panel supports 10-bit colour depth and is designed to provide smoother scrolling and richer visuals.
The rear of the smartphone features a distinctive mini display, positioned near the camera module. It can show notifications, the time, battery information, charging status, volume details, as well as customised text and emojis without requiring users to unlock the main screen.
Processor, Software and Performance
The Virat Curve 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset, paired with 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of storage. It runs Android 16 and supports virtual RAM expansion.
Lava has promised two major Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates. The phone also includes Vayu AI and comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Camera and Battery
For photography, the smartphone features a 50MP Sony IMX752 primary rear camera with EIS and a 13MP front camera with screen flash. Camera features include Night Mode, Pro Video, Dual-View Video and Sports Mode.
The device houses a 6,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. A 33W charger is included in the box. Lava also gives the phone IP64 dust and water resistance and MIL-STD-810H certification.
