The SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship 2026-27 offers financial assistance to meritorious students from economically weaker families. SBI Asha Scholarship 2026-27: Scholarship Amount

The scholarship amount varies according to the student’s level and course of study. School students from Classes 9 to 12 can receive support of ₹15,000, while students pursuing higher education can receive larger amounts.

Eligible students in top institutions and specialised programmes, including IITs, IIMs and medical courses, can receive assistance of up to several lakh rupees. Students pursuing postgraduate studies at eligible universities abroad can receive financial support of up to ₹15 lakh per year.

The programme is part of SBI Foundation’s wider effort to reduce financial barriers to education and support talented students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

Who Can Apply?

The scholarship covers multiple categories of students, from Class 9 to postgraduate and overseas studies. Academic and income requirements vary depending on the category.

For school-level scholarships, the family income criterion is up to ₹3 lakh per year, while higher-education categories generally have an annual family income limit of up to ₹6 lakh. Applicants are also required to meet the prescribed academic performance criteria.

SBI Asha Scholarship Last Date 2026

Applications for the 2026-27 cycle opened on July 22, 2026. The deadline was initially announced as September 4, but recent reports indicate that the application deadline has been extended to September 19, 2026. Students who meet the eligibility criteria should complete their applications before the revised deadline.

Eligible students can apply online through the SBI Asha Scholarship application portal. Applicants should keep their academic records, income documents, identification details, bank information and other required documents ready before beginning the application process.
