The Porsche Cayenne Electric is set to make its official India debut on September 30, 2026, bringing Porsche’s luxury SUV into the brand’s growing electric portfolio. While the model was already announced for the Indian market, the upcoming debut is expected to put the spotlight on its performance, technology and range. Prices in India start at around ₹1.77 crore (ex-showroom) for the Cayenne Electric and rise to about ₹2.28 crore for the Turbo Electric.
Porsche Cayenne Electric Price and Launch Date
The India-spec Cayenne Electric will be available in different performance versions, with the standard Cayenne Electric positioned as the entry point and the Cayenne Turbo Electric at the top of the range. Porsche’s India model comparison currently lists the Cayenne Electric from ₹1,77,27,000, while the Turbo Electric starts at ₹2,27,51,000.
Battery, Range and Performance
The Cayenne Electric uses a 113kWh high-voltage battery and dual electric motors with all-wheel drive. The standard version produces up to 442PS with Launch Control and 835Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 4.8 seconds and has a top speed of 230km/h. Porsche lists a combined WLTP range of up to 643km for the current Cayenne Electric specification.
The performance-focused Cayenne Turbo Electric takes things considerably further. It produces up to 1,156PS, reaches 100km/h from rest in just 2.5 seconds and has a top speed of 260km/h. Its claimed combined WLTP range is up to 624km.
Charging and Technology
The Cayenne Electric uses Porsche’s 800-volt architecture and supports DC charging at up to around 390-400kW under suitable conditions. Porsche says the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in less than 16 minutes under optimal conditions. An optional 11kW wireless charging system is also available.
The SUV also features adaptive air suspension, a curved infotainment display, digital instrumentation and an optional passenger display. Porsche says the Cayenne Electric can recover energy through regenerative braking at rates of up to 600kW.
Porsche Cayenne Electric: What to Expect
With its combination of long electric range, rapid charging and sports-car levels of performance, the Cayenne Electric is aimed at India’s premium electric SUV segment. The model will compete with vehicles such as the BMW iX, Audi Q8 e-tron and Lotus Eletre.
