Southern Kuwait Building Fire; More Than 40 People Killed From India

A devastating fire broke out in a building housing laborers in southern Kuwait, resulting in over 40 fatalities and more than 50 injuries. 

The incident occurred in the city of Mangaf, and the majority of the victims were Indians12. Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire. Union Minister of External Affairs of India, Dr. S. Jaishankar, expressed his deepest condolences to the affected families and assured assistance from the Indian Embassy3. The tragedy has left the world deeply shocked and saddened4.

At least 40 Indian nationals lost their lives, and dozens more were injured in a devastating fire that occurred in a building in southern Kuwait. 

The incident took place in the Al-Mangaf building, which served as a residence for workers. Most of the victims were Indians from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and other northern states. Tragically, many of the deaths resulted from smoke inhalation while the residents were asleep. 

The casualties are still being assessed, but the number is expected to rise. The Indian Embassy in Kuwait is closely monitoring the situation and providing necessary assistance to the affected families.
