NDA CMs to Meet in Varanasi on PM Modi’s 76th Birthday: Key Details

Chief ministers and senior leaders from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) are set to gather in Varanasi on September 17, coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 76th birthday. The meeting is part of a series of events planned around the occasion and the BJP-led alliance’s wider Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.

Prime Minister Modi, who represents Varanasi in the Lok Sabha, will turn 76 on September 17. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu is among the NDA leaders scheduled to travel to Varanasi for the programme. According to Andhra Pradesh government sources cited by NDTV, Naidu is expected to attend an event at the Rudraksha International Convention Centre at around 1 pm.

NDA Leaders to Gather in Varanasi

The Varanasi programme comes after an NDA conclave held in New Delhi in June, which was attended by chief ministers and deputy chief ministers from all 22 NDA-governed states and Union Territories. That meeting focused on national development and infrastructure programmes and discussions around the alliance’s governance priorities.

The September 17 gathering is expected to bring several NDA leaders to Modi’s parliamentary constituency. The exact participation of every chief minister should be confirmed through official schedules and announcements.

Seva Sankalp Abhiyan

The meeting is taking place alongside the launch of the BJP’s Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, a nationwide programme beginning on September 17. BJP leaders have said the campaign will mark Modi’s 25 years in public life and will include activities focused on public service and outreach.

Two motorcycle rallies connecting Varanasi and Vadnagar, Modi’s birthplace in Gujarat, are also scheduled to begin on September 17. The rallies are planned to culminate on October 7 and are being organised as part of the campaign.

Chandrababu Naidu Among Key Attendees

Naidu’s planned visit highlights participation by NDA alliance partners alongside BJP leaders. He is scheduled to travel from Andhra Pradesh to Varanasi on September 17 and attend the Seva Sankalp programme.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is also expected to participate in events in Varanasi. Preparations at the Rudraksh Convention Centre have included reviews of security, traffic, power supply, visitor movement and other arrangements.

Why Varanasi Is Significant

Varanasi has been Modi’s parliamentary constituency since 2014, making the city an important location for events connected with his public life. The September 17 programme combines the Prime Minister’s birthday with the launch of a wider service-oriented campaign and the participation of NDA leaders.

The gathering will also provide an opportunity for leaders from different NDA-ruled states and alliance partners to appear together and discuss issues connected with governance and public programmes. Further details about the meeting’s agenda and participants are expected as the event takes place
