Lava has expanded its affordable 5G smartphone portfolio in India with the launch of the Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G. Priced at ₹16,699, the new smartphone focuses on battery life, smooth display performance and clean software. It comes with a 6,000mAh battery, Unisoc T8200 processor, 120Hz display and 50MP rear camera. The phone was launched in India on September 29, 2026, and is available through authorised online and offline retail channels.
Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G Price and Availability
The Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G is available in a single configuration with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, priced at ₹16,699. Buyers can choose between Akash Blue and Nanda Silver colour options. Lava is also promoting the smartphone with its Free Service@Home programme, which provides doorstep service support to customers across India.
6,000mAh Battery and Unisoc T8200 Processor
The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Unisoc T8200 chipset, paired with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Lava claims the device can score more than 5,00,000 points on AnTuTu. Storage is 128GB, with support for expandable storage via microSD on supported configurations.
A major highlight is its 6,000mAh battery, which supports 18W wired fast charging through a USB Type-C port. The large battery is aimed at users who want longer usage between charges.
120Hz Display and Camera Features
The Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G features a 6.74-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen offers a 720×1600-pixel resolution and up to 550 nits of HBM brightness according to listed specifications.
For photography, the phone gets a 50MP AI rear camera and an 8MP front camera. It supports Dual View Video recording and can record videos at up to 2K resolution at 30fps.
Android 16 and Other Features
The smartphone runs Android 16 with a clean, bloatware-free software experience. Lava has promised one major Android OS upgrade and two years of security updates. The handset also includes the company’s Vayu AI companion. Other features include 5G connectivity, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and IP64-rated dust and splash resistance.
With its ₹16,699 price tag, 6,000mAh battery, 120Hz display, 50MP camera and doorstep service programme, the Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G adds another option to India’s sub-₹20,000 5G smartphone segment.
