The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced the examination schedule for the Assistant Horticulture Officer (AHO) recruitment under the Karnataka Horticulture Department. Candidates preparing for the recruitment examination should carefully note the date, shift timings and cadre-wise schedule.
According to the latest KEA examination calendar, the Assistant Horticulture Officer examination for the Kalyana Karnataka (KK) cadre is scheduled for September 26, 2026, while the examination covering the Residual Parent Cadre (RPC) is scheduled for September 27, 2026.

The recruitment notification covers 85 Group-B vacancies, including Assistant Horticulture Officer and Assistant Director of Horticulture positions. The recruitment is being conducted by KEA on behalf of the Karnataka State Horticulture Department. The application process began in August 2026, with the deadline subsequently extended to September 3.
Candidates applying for the Assistant Horticulture Officer position are required to meet the prescribed educational qualification. The syllabus includes areas such as Fruit Science, Vegetable Science, Floriculture and Landscape Architecture, Plantation and Spice Crops, Post-Harvest Technology, Crop Improvement, Crop Protection, Soil Science and Agricultural Engineering.
Exam Schedule Amid Postponement Demand
The announcement of the examination schedule comes amid requests to postpone the horticulture examinations because of clashes with other competitive examinations. Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya had urged KEA to consider postponing the AHO and Assistant Director of Horticulture examinations scheduled for September 26 and 27. However, the latest reports continue to list these dates in the KEA examination schedule.
Candidates Should Check Hall Ticket
Candidates should download their KEA Horticulture hall ticket once it is released and verify the examination date, centre, reporting time and paper details. They should reach the examination centre well before the reporting time and carry the required documents and a valid photo identity proof.
Candidates are advised to regularly check the official KEA website for any revised timetable, admit-card notification or other examination-related instructions. Any subsequent change in the schedule should be treated according to the latest official KEA notification
