Kareena Kapoor Khan is reportedly set to collaborate with filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and director Atul Sabharwal for a new film, creating fresh excitement among Bollywood fans. The project is particularly notable because it would bring Kareena back into association with Bhansali after their earlier plans for a collaboration did not materialise.
Kareena and Bhansali have been linked to several discussions over the years. One of the best-known examples was Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, which eventually featured Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. A new collaboration between Kareena and Bhansali therefore carries considerable interest within the Hindi film industry.
Kareena Kapoor and Bhansali Reunite
The reported project would mark another significant addition to Kareena Kapoor Khan’s upcoming film lineup. Bhansali, known for films such as Devdas, Bajirao Mastani and Gangubai Kathiawadi, has developed a reputation for elaborate storytelling and visually distinctive cinema.
Kareena, meanwhile, has continued taking on varied roles throughout her career. Her latest release, Daayra, directed by Meghna Gulzar, saw her play DCP Ajooni Kohli alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran. The crime thriller was released in September 2026.
The new project is also expected to feature filmmaker and writer Atul Sabharwal, who has previously worked on projects including Khichdi and Chumbak. Details about the film’s storyline, supporting cast, shooting schedule and release date have not yet been officially revealed.
Kareena’s Unfiltered Personality Sparks Debate
Beyond her film choices, Kareena has frequently generated discussion for her outspoken and candid personality. Over the years, her interviews and public comments have attracted both praise and criticism from audiences.
Some fans appreciate what they describe as her direct and unfiltered approach, while others have questioned certain comments or public appearances. Her 2018 remark about identifying as a woman rather than a feminist has also continued to resurface in online discussions.
At the same time, Kareena’s supporters have argued that her straightforward personality is part of what has distinguished her from more carefully managed celebrity personas.
Kareena Continues to Make Headlines
The reported Bhansali collaboration comes at a time when Kareena remains one of Bollywood’s most discussed leading actors. Her recent appearances, fashion choices and film announcements regularly attract attention across social media.
With details of the new Bhansali-backed project still awaited, audiences will be watching closely for an official announcement revealing Kareena’s character and the film’s story.
If confirmed, the collaboration could bring together Kareena’s acting experience with Bhansali’s distinctive filmmaking style and Sabharwal’s directorial approach, making it one of the projects to watch for further updates.
