Honor has officially confirmed the China launch date and its collaboration with ARRI, while the company is yet to announce an India launch date or India-specific pricing.
Honor Magic 9 Series Launch Date
The Magic 9 series is being unveiled at Honor’s Magic Grand Ceremony in Beijing on September 28, 2026. The lineup includes the Honor Magic 9, Magic 9 Pro Max and Magic 9 Super Edition, according to Honor’s official launch page.
The company has positioned the new range around photography, AI and design. Honor’s official teasers highlight dual 200MP imaging and cinematic camera capabilities.
ARRI Camera Technology
One of the biggest talking points is Honor’s collaboration with German cinema-technology company ARRI. The Magic 9 series features ARRI Cinema Mode, with tools including LogC3 video, focus peaking and false-colour monitoring. Honor has also highlighted ARRI colour science and its Look Library as part of the imaging experience.
Honor’s camera teasers point to a 200MP main camera and 200MP telephoto camera, supported by a 50MP ultrawide camera on the standard Magic 9. The company is also promoting dedicated telephoto accessories capable of reaching 200mm and 500mm equivalent focal lengths.
8000mAh Battery and Specifications
The standard Honor Magic 9 is confirmed in current launch information with an 8,000mAh battery, along with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. It is listed with a 6.37-inch display and a 16GB RAM + 512GB storage configuration for the Chinese market.
The standard model is also expected to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, although specifications for some variants have varied across pre-launch reports. Buyers should therefore refer to Honor’s model-specific specifications following the launch.
Honor Magic 9 Price in India
In China, the Honor Magic 9 16GB + 512GB variant is priced at 5,999 yuan, with an effective subsidised price of 5,499 yuan under China’s applicable government subsidy.
However, Honor has not yet announced the India launch date or official India price. Therefore, figures appearing online as an India price should be treated as estimates rather than confirmed retail pricing.
