October 2, 2026, is set to be an important release date for Hindi movie fans, with new films arriving across theatres and OTT platforms. The Gandhi Jayanti weekend brings a mix of crime thriller, comedy and romance, with Drishyam: The Conclusion, Prem Keetanu and Pooja Meri Jaan among the Hindi titles scheduled for release.
Drishyam: The Conclusion
The biggest theatrical Hindi release on October 2 is Drishyam: The Conclusion, the third and final chapter of the Hindi Drishyam franchise. Ajay Devgn returns as Vijay Salgaonkar, while Tabu reprises her role as Meera Deshmukh and Shriya Saran returns as Nandini Salgaonkar.
The film also features Jaideep Ahlawat, Prakash Raj, Rajat Kapoor, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav and Kamlesh Sawant in important roles. Abhishek Pathak has directed the film.
The story continues the Salgaonkar family’s struggle to protect their secrets as a renewed investigation puts Vijay and his family under pressure. The film has been certified UA 16+ and has a reported runtime of 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Prem Keetanu
Prem Keetanu is another Hindi theatrical release scheduled for October 2. The romantic comedy stars Veer Pahariya and Aparshakti Khurana in leading roles, with Rakesh Bedi and Nikhil Vijay also part of the cast.
Directed by Apoorv Singh Karki, the movie combines romance and comedy and follows its characters through relationship-driven situations. The film has a reported runtime of approximately 2 hours and 22 minutes and is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 2.
For Veer Pahariya, the film marks another major theatrical appearance following his Bollywood debut, while Aparshakti Khurana brings his experience in comedy and supporting roles to the project.
Pooja Meri Jaan
Pooja Meri Jaan is also scheduled for October 2, but unlike the other two titles, it is an OTT release on ZEE5 rather than a theatrical release.
The crime thriller stars Mrunal Thakur as Pooja, Huma Qureshi as Sana and Vikram Singh Chauhan as Aniket, with Vijay Raaz and Chaitanya Vyas also appearing. Directed by Navjot Gulati, the film revolves around Pooja’s life becoming increasingly dangerous after she becomes the target of an obsessive admirer.
