The Futuristic Marvel: Bujji Car in “Kalki 2898 AD

In the highly anticipated film “Kalki 2898 AD,” the futuristic car known as “Bujji” takes center stage. Hand-built by Prabhas’ character, Bhairava, this custom-made marvel promises to captivate audiences with its massive size, unique design, and advanced engineering. Let’s explore the extraordinary features of Bujji:

Size and Dimensions:

Bujji is a gargantuan machine, measuring over six meters in length, three meters in width, and two meters in height.

It boasts two hub-less wheels in the front, while the rear wheel can move both vertically and horizontally.

An all-glass canopy encloses the bare-bones cabin, creating an otherworldly appearance.

Engineering Marvels:

Director Naga Ashwin, a car enthusiast, decided to build a real Bujji car alongside the computer-generated version seen in the film.

A collaborative effort involving engineers from Mahindra & Mahindra’s product development team and Jayem Automotives in Coimbatore brought Bujji to life.

Despite its massive weight (6 tonnes), Bujji accelerates swiftly thanks to electric motors.

Unique Features:

The rear half of Bujji houses a 47kWh battery (resembling a prison cell in the movie).

The steering folds away for easy entry and locks into place during driving.

Imagine trundling down the CoASTT track, feeling invincible, and warding off evil villains in this dystopian future!

Manufacturers:

Mahindra Research Valley and Jayem Motors collaborated to bring Bujji to life. Anand Mahindra, chairman of the Mahindra Group, shared their involvement in designing and manufacturing this futuristic vehicle.
