Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) has announced recruitment for 60 Non-Executive vacancies under its 2026 recruitment drive. The vacancies are for Junior Engineering Assistant-IV positions in Production, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines.

CPCL Vacancy Details

Out of the total 60 vacancies, 40 posts are for Junior Engineering Assistant-IV (Production), while 10 posts are available in Mechanical. Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines have five vacancies each. The vacancies include reservations as specified in the recruitment notification.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the Production position should have a relevant three-year diploma in Chemical, Petroleum or Petrochemical Engineering/Technology, or a B.Sc. degree with Chemistry as a major subject. Candidates applying for Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation positions need the relevant engineering diploma qualification.

The prescribed minimum marks are generally 60%, with relaxation applicable to eligible reserved categories as specified in the notification. The upper age limit is 30 years as on July 1, 2026, with age relaxation available to eligible reserved-category candidates.

Selection Process

The selection process includes a Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by the applicable subsequent stages, including document verification and a Skill/Proficiency/Physical Performance Test, depending on the post. The CBT is tentatively scheduled for September/October 2026, with Chennai indicated as the examination centre.
