Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have completed a degree in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. The graduation qualification must have been obtained between January 1, 2023 and September 1, 2026.
The age limit is 20 to 28 years as of September 1, 2026. Candidates must have been born between September 2, 1998 and September 1, 2006, subject to applicable age relaxations for reserved categories and other eligible groups.
Candidates must also satisfy the local-language requirement for the state they choose. Those who studied the specified local language in Class 10 or 12 can provide the relevant marksheet or certificate as evidence.
Stipend and Training Period
The apprenticeship training will continue for 12 months. Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of ₹16,650, including the applicable government subsidy. Canara Bank will pay ₹10,500 directly, while ₹6,150 will be credited through DBT as the government share, subject to the notification’s conditions.
After successfully completing the apprenticeship, candidates will receive NATS joint certification. However, the apprenticeship does not guarantee regular employment with Canara Bank.
Selection Process
Selection will be based on a state-wise merit list prepared using marks obtained in Class 12/HSC or Diploma. The minimum qualifying marks are 60%, while SC, ST and PwBD candidates require at least 55%. Document verification, local-language testing where applicable and medical fitness are part of the final selection process.

Candidates must first register on the NATS apprenticeship portal and complete their profile. They can then apply through Canara Bank’s Careers section between October 1 and October 17, 2026. The application fee is ₹500 for candidates other than SC/ST/PwBD, while the fee is nil for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
