Amazon has introduced two new personal AI products under the Bee brand: the Bee Frontier wearable and the Bee Eclipse magnetic phone attachment. The devices are designed to turn selected conversations into summaries, reminders, action items and searchable notes.
What are Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse?
Bee Frontier can be worn on the wrist or clipped to clothing. Amazon lists water resistance, USB-C charging, dual microphones and up to seven days of battery life. The device is intended for moments when a user wants to capture a meeting, conversation or reminder without repeatedly checking a phone. It is available in Onyx, Lavender and Sage.
Bee Eclipse takes a different approach: it is a slim accessory that attaches magnetically to a compatible phone. Amazon says it can summarise both sides of calls and in-person conversations when the user activates it, and claims a battery life of more than three weeks. The company lists the Eclipse at $99.99, with availability described as coming soon. Bee Frontier is listed at $74.99 in the United States.
AI summaries, reminders and integrations
The devices work with the Bee mobile app and can connect to services such as Gmail, Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook. Depending on the plan and connected services, Bee can produce follow-up tasks, help draft emails and turn a conversation into a calendar action. Amazon has also announced integrations with Alexa+ and Amazon.com, including shopping suggestions based on relevant things a user mentions.
Privacy and recording controls
Because the products process conversations, privacy is an important consideration. Amazon says audio is processed in real time and then deleted, while transcripts are encrypted and controlled by the user. Both devices have a physical control and a visible indicator when processing is active. Users should still obtain consent where required and be mindful of local recording laws before capturing conversations.
Availability and price
Bee Frontier is available in the US for $74.99, while Bee Eclipse is listed at $99.99 and is marked as coming soon. Bee’s basic service includes conversation summaries and a limited memory window; the optional Bee Pro plan costs $11.99 per month for additional integrations and features. Regional availability and pricing may differ.
