Hyundai Motor India has officially opened bookings for the upcoming Hyundai Bayon SUV in India. Customers can now reserve the new SUV by paying an initial booking amount of ₹11,000 through Hyundai’s official website or at authorised dealerships across the country. The Bayon is expected to arrive during the upcoming festive season, although Hyundai has not yet announced its exact launch date or final price.
The new Bayon is being positioned by Hyundai as an Intelligent Utility Vehicle (IUV) and is built around the theme “Intelligence That Moves.” One of its major highlights is an in-built generative AI voice assistant, designed to make interaction between the driver and vehicle more natural and intuitive.
Hyundai Bayon Booking Amount and Launch
Bookings for the Hyundai Bayon are now open for an initial amount of ₹11,000. Buyers can make their bookings online through Hyundai India’s website or visit an authorised Hyundai dealership.
Hyundai has confirmed that the Bayon will launch during the festive season, but the company has not yet disclosed the exact launch date. Pricing, variant details and delivery timelines are also expected to be announced closer to the launch.
Hyundai Bayon Engine and Transmission
The India-spec Hyundai Bayon will be offered with a petrol powertrain. Hyundai has confirmed two transmission choices: a manual transmission (MT) and its Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT) automatic.
However, the automaker has not yet officially disclosed the engine displacement, power output, torque or fuel-efficiency figures. Therefore, buyers will have to wait for the official launch for the complete mechanical specifications.
AI Voice Assistant and Technology
The generative AI voice assistant is expected to be one of the key technology features of the Bayon. Hyundai says the system is intended to provide a more natural connected-mobility experience, allowing occupants to interact with the vehicle more intuitively.
The SUV will also focus on connectivity, convenience and technology as part of Hyundai’s broader approach to intelligent mobility.
Design and Safety
The Hyundai Bayon measures approximately 4.2 metres in length and will sit between the Venue and Creta in Hyundai’s SUV portfolio. Its design features include a sculpted bonnet, futuristic front styling, H-Edge LED daytime running lights, geometric wheel arches, wrap-around door cladding and roof rails.
For safety, the Bayon is based on Hyundai’s Global K Enhanced Platform, which the company says has been engineered for 5-star Indian safety standards. However, the complete list of safety equipment and any official crash-test rating has not yet been announced.
Hyundai Bayon Price in India
Hyundai has not announced the official Bayon price yet. The final price, variants, detailed specifications and delivery schedule are expected to be revealed around the launch.
With bookings now open at ₹11,000, the Bayon becomes Hyundai’s latest addition to India’s competitive SUV market, combining a new design with petrol power and generative AI-based technology.
