BMW is set to launch the facelifted 7 Series and all-electric i7 in India on September 11, 2026, bringing significant styling, technology and powertrain upgrades to its flagship luxury sedans. Bookings for both models opened on August 1.
BMW 7 Series Facelift: Expected Price
The updated BMW 7 Series is expected to be priced from around ₹1.85 crore (ex-showroom) in India. The outgoing petrol and diesel versions were priced from ₹1.85 crore, while the facelift is expected to command a premium.
The facelift will continue with petrol and diesel powertrains, with BMW focusing on improved performance and efficiency.
The 740i xDrive is expected to produce around 400hp and 580Nm, while the 740d xDrive will deliver approximately 313hp and 670Nm. Both engines use 3.0-litre six-cylinder units with 48V mild-hybrid technology, an eight-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive.
BMW i7 Facelift: Expected Price
The updated BMW i7 is expected to sit in the ₹2.10 crore–₹2.60 crore price range, depending on the variant. BMW India’s current configurator lists the i7 from ₹2.10 crore, while the i7 M70 is listed from ₹2.58 crore.
The facelifted i7 receives upgraded battery technology, increased capacity and faster charging capability. The entry-level i7 50 is also expected to feature xDrive all-wheel drive.
Major Features
One of the biggest changes is inside the cabin. Both models get BMW’s latest Panoramic iDrive interface and a heavily redesigned dashboard inspired by the company’s Neue Klasse technology.

Exterior Updates
The facelift gets a redesigned front fascia featuring an illuminated kidney grille and new split-style headlamps. The rear also receives slimmer tail-lamps and revised detailing.
