As per the reported figures, CityLights collected approximately ₹84 lakh gross on its opening day. The distributor share is estimated at around ₹41 lakh.
The film’s reported budget stands at approximately ₹3.75 crore. Based on the opening-day gross, the movie has recovered around 10.93% of its reported budget through its theatrical performance.
However, opening-day numbers alone are not enough to determine the final box-office outcome of a movie. The performance over the weekend and subsequent weekdays will be important in determining whether CityLights can maintain momentum at the box office.
CityLights Needs Strong Hold
With an estimated budget of ₹3.75 crore, CityLights will need consistent collections over the coming days to move towards profitability and eventually achieve a hit status.
