- Overview: Jailer 2 is the planned sequel to the Tamil action film Jailer, with Rajinikanth returning as retired jailer Muthuvel Pandian and Nelson Dilipkumar associated with the project as director. Reports have linked the story to renewed threats and a criminal network that draws Muthuvel back into conflict, but the complete official plot should be confirmed by the filmmakers. Reported cast names include S. J. Suryah, Vidya Balan, Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Jackie Shroff and Suraj Venjaramoodu, while Anirudh Ravichander is associated with the music. The sequel is expected to continue the franchise’s blend of action, larger-than-life confrontations and family stakes. Certification and runtime will be confirmed closer to release. Budget estimates should not be treated as official unless the production company confirms them, and box-office collection will only be available after theatrical release. OTT platform and date are also subject to rights announcements. This entry will be updated when the makers publish definitive details.
