The Karnataka Forest Department (KFD) has released the finalised 1:1 provisional additional selection list for the recruitment of 540 Forest Guard posts. The latest update is important for candidates who were waiting for the next stage of the recruitment process after the publication of the provisional additional list.
According to the latest recruitment update, the department issued the notification on September 6, 2026, after considering objections received from candidates. Selected candidates in the final additional list must now attend original document verification.
KFD Forest Guard Document Verification Date
Candidates whose names appear in the finalised 1:1 provisional additional selection lists for the Bengaluru, Chamarajanagar, Mysuru, Canara, Dharwad and Shivamogga circles have been called for document verification.
The verification is scheduled for September 15, 2026, at 9:30 AM. Candidates must report to the office of the concerned Chief Conservator of Forests or Conservator of Forests in their respective circle.
Candidates should reach the venue well before the reporting time and carry all required original documents along with the specified photocopies.
Documents Required
Candidates attending the verification should carry their original documents and two sets of self-attested photocopies. Important documents include the SSLC certificate and II PUC certificate or equivalent qualification certificate.
Candidates claiming reservation must also produce the relevant caste, category and other reservation certificates submitted or declared in the application. Candidates selected under certain reservation categories may need additional valid certificates issued by the competent authority.
Candidates should also carry a copy of their online application or written examination hall ticket and a valid photo identity document such as Aadhaar card, passport, driving licence, PAN card or voter ID.
Why Was the Additional List Released?
The recruitment relates to 540 Forest Guard/Beat Forester Group C posts notified by the Karnataka Forest Department in 2023. The written examination was conducted on July 20, 2025, followed by 1:1 provisional selection lists.
Some vacancies remained unfilled because candidates from the original selection list did not join duty or were not available for appointment. The department subsequently published a provisional additional list and invited objections before finalising the latest additional selection list.
