The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has revised the examination schedule for candidates appearing for the KSRP, IRB and KSISF Police Constable Recruitment 2026. The written examination will be conducted on September 20, 2026, but the timing for the Kalyana Karnataka (KK) cadre has been changed.

According to the revised schedule, candidates appearing for the KK cadre examination will now write the exam from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM, instead of the earlier scheduled 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM slot. The examination date remains unchanged.

KEA Police Constable Exam Date 2026

The KSRP, IRB and KSISF Police Constable written examination is scheduled for Sunday, September 20, 2026. The recruitment drive covers a total of 2,314 vacancies across the Special Reserve Police Constable (KSRP), Karnataka State Industrial Security Force (KSISF) and Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB) categories.

For the Residual Parent Cadre (RPC), the examination is scheduled from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. For the Kalyana Karnataka (KK) cadre, the revised examination timing is 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM.

2,314 Police Constable Vacancies

The recruitment notification covers 2,314 posts. Of these, 1,455 positions are for the state-wide KSRP cadre, while 859 posts are under the Kalyana Karnataka local cadre.

The KK vacancies include 334 KSRP posts, 364 KSISF posts and 161 IRB posts. The recruitment is being conducted by KEA on behalf of the Karnataka State Police Department.

Exam Pattern

The written examination is conducted in OMR mode and consists of 100 questions carrying 100 marks, with candidates given 90 minutes to complete the paper. The recruitment process includes the written examination followed by physical and medical stages for eligible candidates.

Candidates should also remember that the compulsory Kannada language examination is a separate requirement for candidates who are not exempt under the applicable rules.
